Evangeline Parish Sheriff Eddie Soileau released the following information regarding the incident: Deputies arrived and found an adult female shooting victim, who had been shot by an unidentified male subject.
During the initial investigation, investigators were able to identify two male subjects as persons of interest who are wanted for questioning.
A motive for the shooting has not yet been determined.
The shooting victim survived and suffered a wound to her right cheek.
